Elena Yu received her B.A. degree in Economics, summa cum laude.  She has a master's degree in public health/epidemiology and a Ph.D. in Sociology.  Growing up in a multi-cultural environment enabled her to speak several languages besides English, including Mandarin, Cantonese, Taiwanese and Cebuano.  She once studied Spanish and welcomes the opportunity to practice speaking the language.

Elena has been a university professor for 30-some years.  She has taught in Taiwan, Canada and the U.S. Her keen interest on aging and health, and a desire to help the less fortunate--combined with over 25 years of personal experience in real estate, led her to obtain a Broker license. She has been a long-time resident in San Diego and enjoys serving the community with her education and expertise.  Having cared for family members who were physically challenged, she understands thoroughly the housing needs of older persons or disabled individuals.  Whatever special housing needs you have, you can count on her to help you.
